FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE.
NO WATER TO CHECK FLAMES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A defect in a kerosene stove resulted in the complete destruction this afternoon of a nin£-roomed house at Greenmeadows owned by Mrs. Harold Butcher and occupied by the owner and her children. The occupants their personal effects, but found it possibl* io saw: a quantity of valuable furniture. The insurances are not' ascertainable. As there wae no brigade or water sup- , ply there were no moans of checking the outbreak.
