DEATH BEFORE TRIAL.
Chari;e a<;ainst in blican. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Nov. 22. Walter H. H. Crichton, licensee of the Turf Hotel, Stoke, on remand for asisaulting John Rekerr by pointing a loaded gun at him, died in the public | hospital last evening. At the inquest I this morning a verdict was returned i that death was due to exhaustion foli lowing acute delirium tremens. Appreciation was expressed by the relatives and the t orouer of the treatment accorded accused by the police.
