WAITARA NEWS.

VISIT OF THE BISHOP. (From our Own Correspondent.) The Bishop of Auckland (Dr. Averill) will visit the Waitara parochial district as part of his tour of the Taranaki portion of the diocese, on Sunday, when His Lordship will celebrate the Holy 'Communion at St. .John’s Church, Waitara. at 8 a.in., and preach at Evensong at 7 p.m. If the memorial to Mr. Messenger, in the form of litany desk in oak. arrives from Auckland in time, the Bishop will dedicate it at this service. The 'Bishop will preach at St. Mark’s Church, Lepperton, at 11 a.m., and will visit St. Luke’s Church, Tikorangi, at <2.30 p.m., where he will preach ami also dedicate the new stone font given by the children of Mr. ami Mrs. Faull senior in memory of their parents. After the service the Bishop will distribute the Sunday School prizes. On Monday evening in St. John’s Church, Waitara, the Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered by the Bishop at 7.30 p.m.
