INGLEWOOD NEWS.
BRIDGE AND EUCHRE PARTY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, Nov. 20. A bridge and euciire party was held in the supper room of the Town Hall last evening in aid of the Red Cross fi.nd, and was well patronised. Four tables were engaged in .bridge and fifteen lin euchre. The winners of the .bridge j were: —-Mrs. H. Winter 1, Mr. D. Portous 2. In euchre Miss M. Lile was first 'and Mrs. Tait second for ladies; and I Mr. Longstaff was first and Mrs. Per- ! kins (playing as a ' gentleman) second for gentlemen. Airs. Evans was in charge of the card room, and had everything well arranged, while Mrs. Clegg and Mrs. Partridge, with Miss Jemison (secretary), are to be congratulated on the success uf the evening’s amusement. MOTOR CARS COLLIDE. A motor car collision occurred to-day at the corner of Carrington and Rimu Streets. It appears that Mr. Miles was coming into town, travelling west along Carrington Street, and Mr. Miller ; was travelling along Rimu Street in a • northerly direction. At the corner of i these streets the accident happened. Mr. Miller’s car was considerably damaged j but Mr. Miles’ ear was very little the |worse for the impact. Fortunately no |ow was hurt.
