POTOA (12 >- BLACK WATCH (I?.)—MONOFORM (18). Potoa is a magnificent specimen of the thoroughbred. A blood bay In colour, standing over 16 hands In height, and showing massiveness throughout, he Is yet a model of symmetry, smoothness and finish. In short, he is a true representative of the great family to which he owes his descent, and is easily recognised as a typical scion of the famous Musket family. Monoform, sire of Potoa, Is own brother to Multiform, who was only defeated once, and that by a stable-mate, proved himself a great racehorse, winning over all distances. In his first two years at the stud he sired Nightfall, Golden Lily, Isolt, Sungod, and the record-breaking Noctuiform. Multifid, another good son of Multiform, has proved a good sire; Chortle, Multiply, and others claiming his parentage. Potoa’s pedigree runs strong to Eclipse (12), his own line. Of the sixteen sires represented In the fifth remove, thirteen descend in tail male to Eclipse.
