TARANAKI-BRED ANIMALS. (By Wire—Special to News.) Hamilton, Last Night. At the Hamilton Show more successes were achieved by Taranaki-bred stock, including the winning of the gold medal for the points prize. The. pedigree entries were as follows: Jerseys 86, Friesians 79, Ayrshires 69, Milking Shorthorns 38. Championships were won as follows: Jerseys.—Mr. Moreland's Violette. Friesians (champion 20-guinea butterfat shield). —Matangi Company (W. R. Wright) Millbrook Pietje Netherlpnd. Ayrshire.—Robert Glencairn’s Lady Roberts. Milking Shorthorn.—Mr. Ramstead’s Matangi Jewel 11. The Matangi Friesian Company’s cows were placed first, second and third in the Friesian Derby class; first and third and fourth in the yearling heifers; and second, third and fourth in the breeders’ group of four (Pietertje de Koi, Allah, reserve/ champion, Millbrook Fayne Segis, Duchess Manola Empress), and also secured a geld medal for a points prize.
