Soap, 335, TARANAKI STOCK MARKET. Messrs Newton King, Ltd., report:— At Stoney River on November .18, we had n full yardinig of cattle. All classes were evenly represented and sold well with the exception of 15-month heifers for which inquiries still remained slack, almost a complete clearance was effected. We quote: 1-5-month Jersey heifers, £3 4s; small yearling, do., £2 13? Gd; Jersey cross do., 34s 6d i mixed yearling heifers, 255. to 30s; 2-year empty heifers ui| to - £2 10s; prime fat heifers, £7 12s; heavy fat cows, £7 175; medium do., £6 to £6 Us; light do., £4 15s to £5 12s Gd; big framed forward condition cows, £4 to £4 15s; young cows In forward condition, £3 to £3 17s; young store cows up to £2 15s; boners, at late rates; cows with vealer cadves, £4 9s; springing heifers, £7; dairy bulls up to £8; weaner pigs, 19s; small store do., 255. The Farmers’ Co-op reports:— At Opunake on Monday, November 17, wo had a light yarding, effecting a good clearance at late rates. We quote: Weaner pigs 14s to Ids; a'ged woolly ewes with 5Q per cerit. la-mbs at foot, 35s 8d; yearling bulls, 6 1-4 to 7gns.; jnaiden 2-year bulla, to £9 9s to 15s; best fat cows, £8 Is to £8 ss; others, £5 2s 6d to £6; forward cows, £3 15s to £4 10s; works cows l at late rales; poor [conditioned coloured yearling heifers, £1 3s to £2 2s. I At Manaia on Tuesday, November 18, prices were very good ever a small, yarding. Pigs: We quote good stores, 345; weaners, 14s 6d to 18s; 2-year bulls, £8 8s; yearling bulls, to £6 ss; works bulls, £3 8s to £7 14s; faf cows to £6 4s; forward cows, to £‘3 10s', and ,-£4 15s; works and, boner cows sold well at late rates; yearling heifers, £2 15s;’ guaranteed cows, second calvers, £8 to £11; dairy heifers, £4 15s to £6 and £7.
