Crichton, licensee of the Turf Hotel at Stoke, was charged ai the court to-day with on November H at Stoke (1) assaulting John R. Kerr by pointing a loaded gun at him; and (2) with intent to do grievous bodily harm at tempting to discharge' a loaded gun at John R. Kerr. Wlien the case was called on SeniqvSergeant Barrett said the accused ' waa not well enough to appear in court.',. The magistrate; Where is he,? Senior-«Sergeantb Barrett: He is in the cells. , . .. The police then asked for a remand in order that, the accused should receive curative treatment, and the magistrate granted a remand until Monday next/
