DOWN PENS!
A STRANGE STRIKE. jlv Telegraph—-Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Nov. 17. ’ The strangest strike known has • occurred in the Transport Workers’ Union. Ninety organisers and officials downed their pens as a protest against the executive’s refusal to reinstate Mr. Gosling, ex-Ministei* of Transport. The executive pleading economy, decided to abolish the post. The strikers allege that personal motives inspired the decision, and recall that there has been ill-feeling between Messrs. Gosling and Bovin since the unofficial dock strike in 1923. The executive had. a secret conference with the strikers lasting all day. Mr. Gosling is in bed owing to a. breakdown due to his election exertions.
