SUCCESS OF THE CONCERTS. j The Empire Theatre was again fil’ to the doors last ntejit long before < commencement of the concert given ’ the pupils of the West End School. T audience was in appreciative mood, indeed was only natural in view of 1 { excellence of the programme, the •* appearance of the “Three Bears” bf* :> > demanded again and again. During the evening it was announ* ’ that Mr. F. C. Ferry had donated medal for presentation to the boy w the best batting average in the W r End School cricket team during H coming season. It is not known yet what are t’ takings from the two concerts, a<? large number of the tickets have n been handed in. The profits, howevc are known te be very considerable.
