ATTEMPT TO INCREASE RATES. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 29. The general impression is that the sheepo'wnere will resist the attempt to increase the shearing rates, but no official statement is available, as the legal position is being considered. The point is whether, if the meu do not offer for work, it will constitute a strike, or whether there can be no strike till the men have actually begun work.
