FLIGHTS OVER PACIFIC.
PLAN TO LINK COUNTRIES, ESTABLISHING SERVICES. AUCKLAND INCLUDED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 25, 9.30 p.m. Honolulu,. Sept. 25. Plans for a trans-Paeific airplane flight from San Francisco to the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific countries are announced by th© Pan-Pacific Union. The purpose of the flight will be to study the possible establishment of five or more permanent air lines linking the countries bordering th© Pacific. The tentative plans provide for a start from San Francisco to Honolulu, proceeding south-west by the Marshall, Caroline and Pelew Islands to Manila, and then south and east to Sydney. Another flight will take the explorers to Auckland, and their return journey will involve stops at the Fiji, Samoa, Phoenix and Christmas Islands.
