ROUTE TAKEN BY AMERICANS. BEST FOR SCENIC WONDERS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 24, 7.20 pm. San Francisco, Sept. 23. A telegram from San Diego says the round the world airway in future will follow approximately the same routes as those used iby the United States world girdlers. Lieutenant Smith, commander of the flight, declared that air travellers desiring to see all the scenic wonders of the world, with combination land and water ’planes, would best use the course inaugurated by his party.
He said the aviators’ next jump would be to Santa Monica, en route to Seattle, where the journey officially ends.
Received Sept. 24, 8.45 p.m. San Francisco, Sept. 23. Three army world fliers returned to Santa Monica. California, to-day, six months and six days after they left on their world trip.
