The following Government weather forecast was Issued at 4 p.m. to-day: "Present indications are for north-westerly winds strong to gale, especially in and southward of Cook Strait. Expect stormy weather, with rain generally and heavy in all the west coast and southern B!str!cts. Th? barometer is falling low in the south.”
