ALARMIST STATEMENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 23. Alarmist statements have been circulated about the prevalence of pneumonic influenza in Sydney and the absence of precautions in inspecting passengers arriving in New Zealand. The health authorities state that there is an understanding between New Zealand and Australia immediately to notify anything approaching an epidemic and no such information has been received from Australia and apparently they are disposed to regard the statements as exaggerated-
