EVERYBODY’S. “WHITE TIGER” TO-NIGHT. Crooks and their doings form the plot of ‘‘White Tiger,” a Universal Jewel production, featuring Priscilla Dean, which opened at the People’s Theatre last night. The story concerns three people, including a woman, whose mode of living, while being wrong in the eyes of many, is one long and laugh to themselves. They perform all sorts of daring deeds—robberies, (fights with the police, endless flights from the law—but, at the same time they are often in humorous situations. In short, their life could be called a comedy-drama. Priscilla Dean, who has portrayed many dramatic roles with great success, is shown as the “White Tiger,” queen of the lawbreakers, and Wallace Beery, Raymond Griffith and Matt Moore are included in the cast. The usual comedy, gazettes, and travelogue are also featured. Another series of “The Fast Steppers,” is also showing, This programme screens again tonight and finally to-morrow night. Seats may be reserved at Collier’s. THE PEOPLE’S. KATHERINE MaCDONALD TO-NTGHT. Large audiences are expected to-night and to-morrow at the People’s Theatre. Katherine MacDonald, the capable actress, always popular with local audiences, will appear in her latest 'FirstNational attraction, entitled “Chastity.’’ The picture is in six reels and -u.~ds MacDonald plays the part of an actress ar whose feet all New York is worshipping. However, her good name is dragged in the mire by scandalous tongues, the world thinking the worst of her because she 'is an actress. “Chastity” is heralded as the best of Miss MacDonald’s subjects, the cast a good one, and the settings are on a lavish scale. Lady patrons will view, with envious eyes, the beautiful gowns worn by the star. The supporting pictures will include “The Oregon Trail,” a two-reel comedy, a scenic and Topical. Admission prices at the People’s are; Stalls fid, dress circle Is 3d.
