THE ALL BLACKS.
COMMENT ON WAR CRY. MORE SERIOUS TRAINING. DEADLY TACKLING. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 16, 9.45 p.mLondon, Sept. 15. Writing in the Daily Mail Mr. Dean, manager of the All Blacks, says he has noticed sarcastic newspaper comment regarding their war cry, but the All Blacks had not even discussed the question of abandoning it. He declined to discuss the possible alteration of the team’s formation and tactics following the Devon match. Today’s training was more serious, sides being Chosen and Porter acting as referee and coach. The packing of the scrum was superior to that of Saturday and the tackling was deadly.
