SCHOOL MATCH. The Wliarehuia and Moturoa school football teams met at Inglewood last Saturday to play the semi-final for the McLeod Shield. Wharehuia won by 15 to nil. Splendid play was shown on both sijes. Brixton scored three tries and Boniface twoTHE ASSOCIATION GAME. TARANAKI v. NEW PLYMOUTH. The “Soccer” match which takes place at Pukekura Park on Saturday between the Taranaki representative team and New Plymouth should be productive of an interesting and well-contested game. Taranaki’s record this season is: Against China, a draw, one goal each; Wanganui, won, four goals to two; Manawatu, draw, one goal each. New Plymouth, although losing its first match against the s.s. Rimutaka’s eleven, drew in the second game. The Rimutaka team played 10 games in different parts of New Zealand, winning eight, drawing with New Plymouth, and losing to Lyttelton watersiders. The teams will be published later.
