Newton King, Ltd., report:— At Urenul sale yesterday we had a good yarding of both store and dairy cattle, and report a very firm inquiry for beef cattie, prices hardening In consequence. A line of very heavy bullocks which we offered in conjunction with the Farmers’ Co-op. realised £l3 14s at the hammer. Our offering of dairy cattle all sold and at improved values compared with late sales. We quote: Sows in farrow £3 7s, weaner pigs 20s, 21s, slips 275, heavy fat bullocks £l3 14s, lighter do. £lO 10s, store bullocks £5 10s, fat cows £6 10s, £6 15s, £7 12s Cd, lighter do. £5 ’> 6d. £6, forward cows £3 10s, store do. 355. £2 2s Bd, yearling heifers 20s, 30s, 395, good Jersey do. £3 15s, springing heifera £6 ss, £7, £8 10s, small do. £4 10s, guaranteed cows £7, £B, £8 15a, £9 10s. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cablegram from Its London office dated September 12, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follow (prices for the two previous weeks are also shown) : New Zealand wethers and maidens: Canterbury quality, selected brands, 561 b. and under, (B%d. DAIRY PRODUCE The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from London, dated September 12, respecting New Zealand dairy produce: P>utter, choicest salted, no change in market (last quotations September 5, 1924, 206 s to 210 s per cwt.). Cheese, 90s to 945. Market slow. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received a cablegram from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, dated September 12, reading (previous week’s figures in parentheses) : Danish butter, 210 s to 212 s (208 s to 2125) : New Zealand, salted, 206 s to 208 s (206 s to 208 s) : market quiet.
