Newton King, Ltd., report:— At Urenul sale yesterday we had a good yarding of both store and dairy cattle, and report a very firm inquiry for beef cattie, prices hardening In consequence. A line of very heavy bullocks which we offered in conjunction with the Farmers’ Co-op. realised £l3 14s at the hammer. Our offering of dairy cattle all sold and at improved values compared with late sales. Cheese, 90s to 945. Market slow. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received a cablegram from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, dated September 12, reading (previous week’s figures in parentheses) : Danish butter, 210 s to 212 s (208 s to 2125) : New Zealand, salted, 206 s to 208 s (206 s to 208 s) : market quiet.
