WHITELEY SHOW.

CHILDREN’S CLASSES. The fourteenth annnual spring flower show of the Whiteley Church closed on Saturday after a most successful threeday exhibition. Notwithstanding other attractions, the show was well attended and it is expected that the fund, which had already reached £lB5, will be further increased to about £207, including the church collection at the previous Sunday’s service. On Saturday th© entries for the special classes for children’s buttonholes were judged, the fifteen entries all deserving of praise. One girl also entered a decorated mantelpiece. Th© judge was Mrs. John Gibson, the awards being as follow:

Girls, over 10.—Phvillis Harvey 1, Joan Harvey 2, Jean Girling 3. Girls, under 10.—Marjorie Harvey 1, Kathleen Squire 2, Vida_Street 3. Boys, over 10.—Reg. Cook’]. Boys, under 10.—Harding Kidd 1. Mantels, girls—Katherine Owen 2. Mrs. Halcombe, of Westown, also brought to the show, for exhibition only, a beautiful bowl of Mexican pea of an exquisite maroon shade.
