REGULAR CONFERENCES. By Telegraph.—Frew As«n.— Copyright Received Sept. 13, 5.5 p.m. Capetown, Sept. 12. Mr. J. H. Thomas (Secretary for the Colonies) presided at a conference at Bloemfontein between the visiting delegates of the Empire Parliamentary Association and colleagues of the South African Parliament. The conference unanimously approved of th e principle of delegations visiting the various countries of the Empire at least once in every two years. A proposal that the next meeting be held in London was received with enthusiasm. It is expected that there will be several further conferences during the remainder of the tour. Mr. Thomas, interviewed, re-affirmed that the solution of questions affecting the Commonwealth, such as the Indian -problem, must be the work of all parties the Dominions. The conference would i not abrogate the rights of each Dominion or delegate to Cabinet respojjwjgjliUt. The conference would explore tJT e whole situation and devise means to friction.
