Quite an amusing scene occurred in a courtroom in a leading centre the other day. The accused was charged with stealing a pouch full of tobacco. “Was it a good tobacco?” asked the Magistrate. “Rather,” said the constable. “It was Richmond Best.” “Ah! Well he showed his good taste when he stole Richmond Best,” remarked His Worship, “for Richmond Best tobacco is tempting enough to any person who has once tried it. Accused will be ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.”
