EFFORT BY GERMANY. DUMPING OF PIANOS. London, August 19. The Daily Mail draws attention to the fact that -while Mr. T.lacDonald’s Government has aurrendtred to the schemes to lend money to Russia and Germany, the latter is making strenuous efforts to capture trade in all corners of the world. One instance of this is contained in a message, disclosing that 500 German pianos were dumped in Australia last week.

Germany appointed a distinguished Consul-General in Smyrna, where Germans, who Li-ve been pleading poverty, are granting Turkish traders a year’s credit, and selling machinery at ent prices with which it is impossible for Britain to compete.
