GATHERING AT ANTWERP. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 2, 7.40 p.m. Antwerp, Sept. 1. The opening of the eleventh international co-operative congress was attended by five hundred representatives of European countries. M. Goldhart (HoUand), the chairman, appealed to all peoples for an extension of co-op-erative institutions. It was announced that a meeting will be held at Rome for the purpose of creating a great international Co-opera-tive bank with a view to fighting high finance, with ita alleged anti-co-opera-tive tendencies.
