I Mrs. Covel and Miss McKane have entered the semi-finals, defeating Mrs. Beamish and Miss Hazel 7—5, 6—l. MATCHES IN UNITED STATES. Received July 3, BJIO p.m. New York, July 2. At the Indianapodis tournament Schlesinger defeated Adler 6—l, 7—5; and Patterson defeated O’Connell 6—3, 6—2. Patterson and Schlesinger defeated Strachan and McGlynn 6—l, 6—2, 6—l on th* basis of three sets. At Glencove in the third round of the singlese, Chandler defeated Kalms 6—l, 6—2; and Wood defeated Biddle fl—o, 6—l. Wood and Kalms defeated Gatland and Gilmore fl—2, 6—2.
