After the consideration of proposals by a deputation representing the dairy farmers of the Commonwealth for tie control and stabilisation of dairy produce, the Premier (Mr. S. M. Bruce j suggested the creation of an independent tribunal to fix the price of butter for the Commonwealth, and that the price for local consumption be fixed on the basis of the import parity. He also suggested systematic expo’rt, the produce preferably to be centred on one London floor under Australian domination. Representatives of the industry have been invited to vieit Melbourne to discuss the proposals with Mr. Bruce.
