RESTORATION URG’/J. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. London, July 1. The Congress cf Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire has opened at the Guildhall, Lord Derby presiding. •Mr. J. H. Thoma- (Seerotary for the Colonies) welcomed 200 delegates. He denounced class hatred and urged the co-operation of capital and labour .n the spirit of self-sacrifice to solve Empire problems. The congress unanimously passed ft resolution that the re-cstablishmcnt , penny postage throughout the Empire was argent. The New Zealand uelegate said the results o.f the rcs.or&t.on of pennv •in New Zeal-ad had been most satisfactory. Awtrab&M uud New Zealanders largely participated in the (lujcuesons, iuclud'.rg Sir George Fenwick and Mr. Rqaer.-a (Wellington). Lord Southwark paid a tribute to New Zealand’s lead in the restoration of penny postage. Sir George Fenwick aad xbe results justified the experiment.
