The following matches will be played in the second round of the junior competition in the Central division, the referees’ appointments for this week being made last night: Second Grade. SOUTHERN WEDNESDAY GAME. The South Taranaki Wednesday Football Club, which has been late in opening the season, but which now shows promise of providing interesting competition, held a meeting on Friday night, when officers were elected, and a balance-sheet showing a credit of £6 17s 4d was presented. It was reported that seven teams had entered the competitions. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr. R. D. Wilson; president, Mr. A. R. Grant; vice-presidents, Mrs. Gibson, Messrs. J. N. Anderson, D. Strachan, T. S. Jones, A Alger, B. C. Bennett, C. Gomer, J. Goodwin and J. Henry; hon. surgeon, Dr. A. M. Young; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. D. Jury; committee, Messrs. L. Master, R.
