NO BAN IMPOSED IN SYDNEY. Methodists in Sydney arc not alarmed, but they are mildly surprised at the recommendation made by the Board of Bishops at the American Methodist Episcopal Communion. That body advocated that the ban on dancing, card flaying, theatre going, and attendance at circuses should be lifted. “There is no actual ban of that kind imposed here,” said a prominent member of the Methodist movement, “but we do not favour dancing as it is sometimes carried on.
