WIRELESS IN JAPAN.
OLD TRADITION VANISHED. Xokio, Mar. 24 Gwing to the widespread destruction of internal communications during the September ea-rthquake disaster, the Imperial Household Department announces the impending installation of wireless telephones to link the Imperial Palace at Tokio with all the detached palaces throughout the Empire. These w’ill be for use in emergencies, and on other occasions when promptness is required. This innovation overturns all the former traditions of Japanese conservatism. The reception of radio messages by private persons in Japan has been legally prohibited.
