CENTRAL DIVISION. AVON v. INGLEWOOD. Waitara forfeited to Stratford A and Eltham forfeited to Stratford B on Thursday, as they were unable to arrange teams for travelling. At the Stratford green good progress was made with the championship ties. Avon defeated Inglewood on the Avon green on Thursday by the narrow margin of four points after a hard and interesting game. Spurdie’s rink was well down at the afternoon tea adjournment, but made a remarkable recovery towards the end. On the other hand, North had secured only a very few points at the adjournment, but rolled up 19 rapidly afterwards. In the following details Avon are mentioned first: —
