STORM IN PRETORIA.
HAILSTONES LIKE TEACUPS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, Dec. 27. Christmas Day in Pretoria was signalised by an unprecedented hailstorm. The hailstones were jagged lumps of ice a< large as teacups and weighing over 1 lb. They caused damage to property estimated at £lOO,OOO. The noise resembled an aeiual bombardment. There were few casualties a< the stortn was gathering for an hour and gave people time to find shelter. Many families were washed out of their hcuses.
