EVERYBODY’S. ( MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 P.M. “When Romance Rides,” adapted from Zane Grey’s , famous novel, “'Wildfire,” will be screened at both sessions’to-day at Everybody’s Theatre. A second feature will be a special comedy, “Pardon My .Glove,” starring Bobby Vernon. “Wildfire” is crowded with action. Tod Sloan, the world’s most famous jockey, is engaged to ride in a very exciting horse race. Those who have read Zane Grey’s novel will find the film version of absorbing interest and faithfully incorporating the spirit of the Wild West. Not the least interesting side of the picture is the magnificently rugged scenery amidst which incidents of the greatest daring are performed. Rising .superior to gross villainies and attempts on the life of the heroine is an unusual romance finding its consummation in a startling climax. Claire Adams is leading woman. Admission prices are advertised. The box plan arrangements are as usual. EMPIRE THEATRE. GROUND THE WORLD IN 80 MINUTES.” By sitting in a comfortable seat and viewing the picture entitled “Round the World in 80 Minutes,” now showing at the Empire Theatre, one can in the space of an hour or so see views of many cities in many lands. This picture, by the way, is a New Zealand production. Apart from the educational value of the picture, it affords a cheap and eminently comfortable way of seeing the world. For the fir<st time in the history of the film industry the producers have embodied the whole world in. one complete film that takes the spectators to those parts of the globe so dearly loved by the wealthy tourist. But the theatre has the advantage of the modern day method of .travelling-in that the traveller views the world while sitting in comfort. Truly a unique entertainment. “Round the World” screens finally to-night. Admission prices are advertised.
