REPARATIONS INQUIRY.

THE TWO COMMITTEES. FIFTEEN APPOINTMENTS. SCOPE OF WORK OUTLINED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Dec. 27, 7.45 p.m. Paris, Dec. 26. The Reparation Commission, to-day, officially nominated fifteen delegates who will represent the Allies and the United States upon two committees to investigate Germany’s finances.

Committee number one will deal with the stabilisation of German currency and the balancing of her budget. It will meet on January 14. Number two will deal with the disappearange of capital from Germany, and will meet on January 20, at Paris. The latter committee’s meeting date was delayed because the delegate Mr. Henry Robertson, president of the Los Angeles First National Bank, was unable to arrive in Paris Sooner. The inability of Mr. Montague Norman (Governor of the Bank of England) to serve on committee number one, because the Bank of England cannot spare his services at the present time, has led Sir John Bradbury to ask Sir Robert Kindersley (a director of the Bank of England) to serve in Mr. Norman’s place. It is understood that the committees, later, will find it convenient to work at Berlin, although they will be at liberty to sit where they wish. DATES FIXED FOR EXPERTS. Received Dec. 28, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Dec. 26. The Reparations Commission has convened the first committee of experts for January 14, and the second for January 24. They will immediately proceed with a serious examination of Germany’s economic position.
