\ LONDON MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLED REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated December 22, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London BUTTER. The market has declined further. Prices have fluctuated during the last three weeks. The market is steadier to-day, and 210 s has been taken. Official quotations are (market quiet) : New Zealand. —Salted: Finest, December 22. 2025, 206 s up to 208 s per cwt. (Is is lOd. to Is 10*4d per lb.) ; December 15, 212 s to 216 s per cwt. (Is 10%d to Is lid per lb.) : December 15, exceptional, 218 s per cwt. (Is 1 1 *4d per lb.) : December 8,220 s to 224 s per <*wt. (Is 11 %d to 2s per lb.). CHEESE. The market Is somewhat steadier at lower rates, but the demand continues slow. Official quotations are:— New Zealand.—Finest, December 22 : Coloured 102 s to 104 r per cwt. (lid per lb.) ; exceptional. 106$ per cwt. (ll%d per lb.) ; white, 100 s to 102 s per cwt. (10%d to lid per lb.) ; exceptional, 104 s per cwt. (lid per lb.). December 15: Coloured. 108 s to 110 s per cwt. (U%d to 11 Aid per lb.) ; white. 106 s to 108 s per cwt. (ll’4d to per lb.). December 8: Coloured 108 s to 110 s per cwt. to ll%d per lb.) ; white, 108 s to 110 s per cwt. (ll%d to ll*id per lb.). A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Piako. CASEIN. No change since last report.
