BOWLING.

CENTRE EXECUTIVE MEETING. A meeting of the local executive of the Taranaki Centre was held on Saturday evening, there being present Messrs. A. K. Smart (president) in the chair, S. J. Smith, D. H. Thomson, A. T. Moore and F. J. Hill (secretary). The draw (already published) was made for the New Year tournament. The Dominion Association notified that concession tickets by rail and steamer were being granted to bowlers taking part in the Dominion tournament. Mr. S. J. Smith was appointed the centre’s delegate to a meeting to be held at Christchurch during the tournament. Fltzroy Club wrote suggesting that the Easter pairs tournament be reinstated, and it was decided to communicate with all affiliated clubs asking for an expression of opinion. An application was received from the New Plymouth Fire Brigade Club for affiliation, and this will be forwarded to the Dominion Association with a recommendation that same be approved.
