One of the holiday attractions for New Year is the gala day at the East End reserve. The programme is-mainly confined to the rising generation, but several events have been placed on the programme for the benefit of the ladies. Among these are the married women’s race and the single ladies’ race, also a nail driving competition for the gentler Gcx. The Citizens’ Band will be in attendance.
