DAIRY PRODUCE COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Dec. 22. Mr. P. W. Dixon, of Rongotea Siding, has informed the Standard that he has served a notice on the returning officer to withhold declaration of the ballot for the Dairy Control Board and has also applied to the Minister for a magisterial inquiry. THE BUTTER MARKET. Wellington, Dec. 22. Reports have been locally received and published here stating that the butter market at Home is weak at 197 e. This is in correct, as a cable was sent to England asking for verification and a reply has been received that the market is steady at 207 s to 208 s.
