Record acceptances have been received, and the horses competing at the meeting will be very largely drawn from outside centres, a large number coming from the Auckland province. The racing tracks were never in better condition and the club's beautiful grounds are in excellent order. The club has popularised its prices and the I admission charges at the gates are well within the means of all. In this connection all clubs : in Taranaki are charging practically the same prices for admission at all race meetings. i The publicans’ booth will again be conI ducted by Mr. Edwin Whittle, of the Red House Hotel, whilst the catering is being arranged by the Hygienic Bakery. The Taranaki Military Band has been engaged to supply a programme of music. The Railway Department is providing an excellent train service for noth days, and with the fact of excursion fares being in vogue the public should respond liberally. Altogether the club’s forthcoming meeting will be one well worth coming a long distance tu witness. The racing will be excellent and al’ other departments on the course will leave nothing to be desired.
