There have been a number of Wanganui buyers operating here during the past we r (says the Poverty Bay Herald), and between them they have bought over 700 ewes and wethers for forward delivery early in January. The bulk of the sheep bought were twotooths, and it is understood that the prices were very satisfactory. A good many sheep went through Wanganui ftom this district last season, and the fact that the buyers are asking for more shows that they suited the conditions there The sheep will be driven through to Longlands, near Hastings, and then trucked to Fordell, close to Wanganui, .being driven for tb» rest of the jourgsy.
