SWIMMING.
Tom Morris, foremost professional distance swimmer, is an intrepid sort of customer. He proposes to swim from Sydney to Manly, providing permission can be obtained and adequate provision made for his safety in the water. In attempting this swim, Morris is taking a greater risk than the endeavour to swim the English Channel, which also is on his programme, as it is well known that Port Packson, in the summer-time, ia shark-infested.
