Out of all those ships, ranging from 20,000 tons down to small steamers, the record operating dintaMß is credited to the s.s. Tahiti, of thn Union Steam Ship Company’s Traaa* z Pacific Royal Mail Service. The Tahiti which is fitted with Amalgamated WirM less equipment was communicating wiHi San Francisco over the remarkable distance of 4796 miles; The Tahiti is M consistent in breaking long-dis taanee cords that she is known to every winee less station in the Pacific and even baa yond, as a result of which the install—tion and the operators have been subject of favourable comment out a great section of the worldfn eilW less service. . <
