BOXING.

TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. The committee of the Taranaki Boxing Association met last night. Present: Messrs. E. Jackson (chairman), W. Whitaker, J. Vale. W. N. Stephenson, N. B. Howell, F. Bremnuhl, J. Abbott and W. McEwen (secretary). In connection with the tournament which is to be held at New Plymouth on July 25. It was reported by the match committee that articles had been signed by Paul Dempsky (Australia) and Harry May (Auckland), lightweights, who should prove a good match. The following amateur boats were also arranged, six two minute rounds to be fought: — J. D. Willis v. 0. Brien, Cadman v. Waterson, Coombes v. Duddlng, James v. Hayward, Hooper v. Mills. Four two-mlnute rounds will be fought between Anderson and Bocock. It was resolved to make the prices popular, viz. 10/- (ringside) and 5/-, and school hoys 2/6, all plus tax.
