The Daily Mail’s Madrid correspondent says the Prince of Asturias, the heir-ap-parent, is suffering from a spinal complaint and is unable to walk. The second son, Jaime, suffers from congenital deafness and an impediment of his speech. The successor to King Alfonso, therefore, will have to be the fifth child Juan, now ten years of age, unless the Prince of Asturias recovers.
