CHARGE OF FORGERY.

T. R. SOUTHALL ARRESTED, 1 By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. As a result of investigations by the Audit Department, Thomas Richard Southall, secretary of the Masterton Racing Club, formerly secretary of the Masterton branch qf the Repatriation Department, was arrested to-day on a charge “that he did, on March 27, 1922, at Masterton, forge the name of W. R. Walker to a Treasury voucher for £50.” Accused appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded till July 17, when the investigations will be completed ' and, it is stated, further charges will be preferred.
