SATURDAY’S MATCHES. OLD GIRLS (3) v. TECHNICAL COLLEGE (0) The match between Technical College A and Technical College Old Girls on Saturday was played under fine weather conditions. The defence of Old Giris was again too strong for the colliglans, as they were unable to score. The school team were without the services of two of their forwards, and also a player in the half time. During the first ten minutes of the game the greens were in their opponents’ circle practically the whole of the time, but were unable to score. This was chiefly due to the fine defensive game played by Miss R. Lash in goal, and also faulty shooting on the part of Old Giri’s forwards. In the Tech, forwards Miss White, at centre-half, was too inclined to keep to the ball, and although at limes her forwards were not sufficiently near to enable her to pass to them there wore many occasions upon which it would have been productive of better results had she initiated forward passing rushes. For Old Girls Miss V. Bossons played a very safe game at right full-back, but Miss T. McGill was distinctly off her game. All the halves played well up to "their usual form. The forward line was without the services of their fast left wing. Miss D. Sturntfy. W’hen wlthing striking distance they were too Inclined to bunch and thereby lost many chances of scoring. The game finally ended in Old Girls favour by 3 goals to nil. goals being scored by Miss U. Andrews (2) and Miss L. Julian (1). Mr. J. Ebbett had control of the game.
