Mr. M. E. Fitzgerald, Eltham County engineer, has been appointed Matamata County engineer. There were 55 applications for the position. Regret at the loss by death of two valued members of the Taranaki Justices of the Peace Association, Messrs. F. C. J. Bellringer and George King, was expressed in the annual report of the association last night. Jacob Joseph Scholarships were awarded to A. M. Cousins, LL. M., and G. S. Troup, .
