AUSTRALIAN NEWS.

FATE OF THE TREVESSA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. •Sydney, June 12. The Trevean wirelessed that a boat was sighted at night-time and appears to be a gig. They are continuing the search until forced to give up. There is some doubt as to whether the latest Trevessa message refers to the boat previously cabled on the 7th. The message adds that no boat gear was found among the wreckage. It is argued here that the finding of the gig possesses no great significance as to the fate of the crew. It is unlikely that the gig would be in use. Tn all probability it was when the Trevessa took her ’last dive that the gig broke from its lashings and drifted away.
