The British brigantine Amy Turner, from Australia, with a consignment of •oal to Manila,, was lost at sea near mm on March 27. Charles West and ihree other British survivors reached Tinatuan, on the east coast of Miidaaao, in one of the ship’s boats after :wenty-four days’ privation. The townsfolk provided food and clothing and. arranged their passage to Cebu. Ten lives ire reported to have been lost.
