HAWKE’S BAY MEETING SECOND DAY’S RESULTS, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Last Night. Beautiful weather greeted the second day of the Hawke’s Bay meeting. The attendance was good aod the course provided good going. A sum of £21,561 was put through the machine, compared with £21,173 on the sec pud day last year, an increase of £3BB. For the meeting the totalisator “handled £41,696, as against £ 40,944 last year, an increase of £752. Results:— KARAM L HURDLES.—Vagabond 1, Mountain Peer 2, Powder King 3. The track was in good or der, though a fair breeze was against th-s horse in the long back stretch. Two furlongs were covered in 30 3-ssee, three in 4b 4-ssec, the half-mile in Imin. 2 2-ssec., six furlongs in Imin. 33 4-ssec., and the mile in 2mln. 4 l-ssec., the record being equalled.
